FISCHER 85188 V-remblokjes voor aluminium fietsvelgen

V-brake shoes FISCHER 85188 for aluminum rims — all-weather compound are replaceable brake pads designed for bicycles equipped with V-brake systems. The pads are formulated with an all-weather compound to maintain consistent friction on aluminum rim surfaces in both wet and dry conditions. They are intended to provide reliable stopping power for everyday riding and commuting while being compatible with standard V-brake shoe holders.

Advantages

The all-weather compound formulation reduces performance variation between dry and wet conditions, helping to maintain predictable braking force. Designed for aluminum rims, these V-brake shoes offer even wear and protect rim surfaces when used correctly. The replaceable design enables straightforward maintenance and quick replacement without specialized tools. Consistent braking feel supports safer bike handling during routine use.

Suitable for

• Bicycles fitted with V-brake systems and aluminum rims
• Daily commuting and urban riding
• Leisure and fitness cycling where reliable all-weather braking is needed
• Routine brake maintenance and pad replacement

Key specifications

• Brake type compatibility: V-brake systems
• Rim compatibility: aluminum rims
• Friction compound: all‑weather compound for wet and dry conditions
• Design: replaceable brake shoes compatible with standard V-brake holders
• Intended use: everyday riding, commuting, urban cycling

How to use

Loosen the retaining bolt on the existing V-brake shoe, remove the worn pad from the holder, and insert the FISCHER V-brake shoe into the holder aligning the pad so it contacts the rim surface evenly. Tighten the retaining bolt to the manufacturer's recommended torque and check that the pad does not rub the tire or clear the rim when the brake lever is released. Test braking performance in a safe area and make small positional adjustments to ensure even contact and proper toe-in if required. Regularly inspect pad wear and replace the shoes when braking material is reduced to the manufacturer’s suggested limit.

Recommendations

Inspect rim surfaces and pad alignment after initial installation and periodically during use. Replace pads before they are fully worn to avoid rim damage. Avoid braking on debris or hardened contaminants where possible; if pads become embedded with grit, clean or replace them to maintain braking efficiency.
