Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-106152 SC OS2 1,5 m geel

The ShiverPeaks BS07-106152 SC OS2 fibre optic cable is a 1.5 m single-mode patch cable designed for reliable long-distance and high-speed data transmission. It uses SC connectors on both ends and an OS2 compliant fibre with a 9 µm core diameter, making it suitable for telecom, datacom and structured cabling where single-mode performance and low attenuation are required. The yellow jacket provides quick visual identification within cable bundles and racks.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides consistent single-mode performance thanks to OS2-grade fibre construction and a standardized 9 µm core diameter. SC-to-SC connectors ensure secure push-pull mating with many distribution panels and transceivers, while the 1.5 m length reduces excess slack in short interconnect runs. The yellow outer jacket improves cable management and identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Interconnection between network equipment in server rooms and racks
• Connections to optical patch panels and distribution boxes
• Telecom and ISP fiber links requiring single-mode OS2 fibre
• Short campus or building backbone links where 1.5 m patch cords are needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode, OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Cable length: 1.5 m
• Outer jacket colour: Yellow

How to use

Route the 1.5 m fibre optic cable between the two devices or panel ports ensuring minimal bending and avoiding sharp kinks. Insert the SC connectors into corresponding SC ports until they click into place for a secure connection. Verify link status on connected equipment and, if required, inspect endfaces with an appropriate fiber inspection tool before mating to avoid contamination. When disconnecting, press the SC connector latch and pull gently to remove.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable following standard fiber care: keep protective dust caps on connectors when not in use, avoid tight bends tighter than the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius, and maintain clean connector endfaces to ensure low insertion loss and long-term reliability.
