Indoor access point Cambium Networks XE3-4 Wi-Fi 6E 4x4

The Cambium Networks XE3-4 Wi-Fi 6E 4x4 Indoor Access Point delivers tri-band Wi‑Fi 6E performance with 4x4 MIMO to meet demands in high-density indoor environments. Designed for enterprises and managed venues, the device provides expanded 6 GHz spectrum support alongside 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, enabling higher throughput, reduced interference and improved capacity. Multi-gigabit Ethernet uplink capability and standards-based integration allow the access point to be deployed in existing wired networks and managed through common controller or cloud platforms.

Advantages

The XE3-4 access point offers enhanced client capacity and lower latency through Wi‑Fi 6E OFDMA and MU‑MIMO, while 4x4 spatial streams improve aggregate throughput for supported devices. Support for multi-gigabit Ethernet ensures the wired infrastructure can sustain increased wireless traffic. The unit is engineered for reliable indoor performance in dense deployments and supports modern security and roaming features for enterprise environments.

Suitable for

• Enterprise office floors with high client density
• Conference centers, auditoriums and meeting rooms
• Education campuses and libraries
• Managed service provider and campus-wide wireless networks
• Upgrading legacy access points to Wi‑Fi 6E-capable infrastructure

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: Wi‑Fi 6E (802.11ax) tri-band operation (2.4/5/6 GHz)
• Radio configuration: 4x4 MIMO with multiple spatial streams
• Ethernet: Multi-gigabit Ethernet uplink support
• Deployment: Indoor ceiling or wall mount capable
• Operation: Designed for high-density client environments and enterprise features

How to use

Install the access point on a ceiling or wall according to site planning guidelines to ensure optimal coverage and minimal interference. Connect to the network using the multi-gigabit Ethernet uplink and provision the device via your existing network controller or cloud management platform. Configure SSIDs, security (WPA3 where supported), VLANs and QoS policies to match site requirements. Perform a site survey or use monitoring tools to verify channel allocation and coverage after deployment.

Recommendations

Place devices centrally within coverage zones, maintain clear line-of-sight where possible, and ensure the wired uplink supports the expected aggregate throughput to realize the benefits of Wi‑Fi 6E and 4x4 MIMO. Use updated client drivers and enable enterprise-grade security and roaming features for stable performance in dense environments.
