Alcasa LW-S920LASA InfiniBand-/glasvezelkabel 20 m LC SC geel

The Alcasa LW-S920LASA InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 20 m LC SC Yellow is a single-mode OS2 patch cable designed for high-speed, long-distance data transmission. With LC and SC connector terminations, this 20 meter yellow cable supports reliable optical links between network equipment, providing low attenuation and stable signal quality for datacenter, enterprise and telecom environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines single-mode OS2 fibre with standardized LC and SC connectors to deliver consistent low-loss transmission over extended distances. The 20 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or room-to-room connections while the yellow jacket provides easy visual identification in cable assemblies. Connector endfaces are factory-terminated to ensure proper alignment and minimal insertion loss for InfiniBand and other high-speed network interfaces.

Suitable for

• Datacenter uplinks and patch panels
• Enterprise network backbones and server interconnects
• Telecommunication closets and cross-connect cabinets
• InfiniBand and high-bandwidth storage area network links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: single-mode OS2
• Connector A: LC (single-mode)
• Connector B: SC (single-mode)
• Length: 20 m
• Jacket color: yellow
• Typical application: single-mode optical patching for long-reach connections
• Designed for low insertion loss and low back reflection

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC adapter or transceiver socket, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Route the cable through cable management panels or trays to avoid tight bends and secure it with appropriate ties or clips to prevent strain on the connectors. For best performance, avoid bending the cable beyond its specified minimum bend radius and keep connector dust caps in place until immediately before connection.

Recommendations

Use an optical power meter or certified test equipment to verify signal levels and insertion loss after installation. Clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before each connection. Store spare cables in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid compressing or sharply bending the cable to preserve the optical fiber integrity.
