Netwerkkabel Alcasa 8080-075O oranje 7,5 m Cat8.1 S/FTP

The Alcasa 8080-075O Orange 7.5 m Cat8.1 S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transfer in structured cabling and point-to-point connections. Compliant with Cat8.1 performance characteristics, it supports very high data rates and includes S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. The cable comes with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors and a 7.5 m length in a bright orange jacket for easy identification in network environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides both an overall foil shield plus individual braided shields around each pair, improving immunity to external noise and reducing crosstalk between pairs. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance for consistent signal transmission. The Cat8.1 specification enables compatibility with high-frequency networking needs and helps maintain signal integrity over the cable run. The orange jacket improves visibility for cable management and fault finding.

Suitable for

• High-speed server uplinks and data center connections
• Switch-to-switch links in enterprise networks
• Workstation connections where minimal interference is required
• Temporary or permanent installations requiring clearly identifiable cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1 performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually braided shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 7.5 m
• Maximum data rate (manufacturer-stated performance): up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Orange jacket for identification

How to use

Route the Alcasa Cat8.1 cable between the two network devices ensuring minimal sharp bends and avoiding close parallel runs alongside power cables. Insert the RJ-45 connector firmly into the device port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain the bend radius recommended for high-performance Ethernet cabling. Test the link after installation with an appropriate network tester to verify connectivity and performance.

Recommendations

Use the cable in shielded or controlled environments where the S/FTP construction can be properly grounded at least at one end if combined with other shielded infrastructure. Keep the cable away from major sources of electromagnetic interference and avoid excessive tensile stress during installation to preserve transmission characteristics.
