Grillpan JATA GMA28 Kilimanjaro vierkant zwart

The JATA GMA28 Kilimanjaro Square Black grill pan is a compact 280 mm square cookware piece designed for indoor grilling of meats and vegetables. Its black finish and square shape provide a practical cooking surface that fits a variety of stovetops. The pan is manufactured without Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA), offering a safer option for high-temperature searing and grilling. Its size and form factor make it easy to handle, store and clean after use.

Advantages

The pan delivers even heat distribution across its 280 mm square cooking area, helping to achieve consistent grilling marks and caramelisation. Being PFOA-free reduces the risk of chemical exposure during high-temperature cooking. The square design increases usable surface area compared with round pans of similar diameter, allowing more food to be grilled in a single batch. The compact footprint is suitable for kitchens with limited storage space, and the black finish conceals staining from regular use.

Suitable for

• Grilling steaks, chops and burgers on a stovetop
• Grilling vegetables and fruit slices
• Preparing pan-seared fish fillets
• Creating grilled sandwiches or quesadillas

Key specifications

• Shape: square
• Overall width/depth: 280 mm
• Colour: black
• Surface treatment: PFOA-free coating
• Intended use: stovetop grilling of meats, fish and vegetables

How to use

Preheat the grill pan on the stovetop to the required cooking temperature before adding food to ensure proper searing. Lightly oil the pan or the food to prevent sticking and place items with even spacing to allow hot air circulation and clear grill marks. Turn foods as needed to achieve the desired level of doneness. After cooking, allow the pan to cool before cleaning according to the manufacturer's care recommendations to preserve the surface treatment.

Recommendations

Use medium-high heat for most grilling tasks and avoid sudden thermal shocks (such as immersing a hot pan in cold water). Use utensils suitable for coated surfaces to minimise abrasion, and hand-wash if required by your cookware care instructions to extend the lifetime of the pan's surface.
