Hama 00205220 coaxiale connector 1 st.

The Hama 00205220 coaxial connector is a gender adapter with coaxial female connectors on both ends designed to join two coaxial cables quickly and reliably. Finished in silver, the adapter provides a compact and durable connection point suitable for audio, video and RF signal paths in home entertainment systems and other low-frequency applications where a standard coaxial interface is required.

Advantages

This coaxial connector offers a straightforward way to extend or link coaxial cables without changing the cable routing or equipment. The female-to-female configuration eliminates the need to reterminate cables and reduces signal loss that can occur with improper joins. The metal finish contributes to mechanical stability and resistance to wear from repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Extending coaxial runs for TV antenna or cable TV installations
• Connecting components in home cinema and set-top box setups
• Joining coaxial leads for video surveillance or analog video systems
• Temporary or permanent repairs of damaged coaxial cable runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: coaxial female to coaxial female
• Physical finish: silver-coloured metal housing
• Application: audio, video and RF signal transmission
• Form factor: inline gender adapter for coaxial cables

How to use

To use the Hama coaxial connector, align and insert the male coaxial plug of each cable into the adapter’s female ends until they seat securely. Ensure that cable connectors are clean and free of debris before connecting. Once both cables are attached, verify signal presence on the connected device and, if necessary, adjust cable routing to avoid sharp bends that could affect signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the adapter with cables and equipment that match standard coaxial impedance and connector types. Avoid exposing the connector to excessive moisture or mechanical stress. If used in an outdoor or exposed environment, protect the joint with appropriate weatherproofing materials to maintain reliable signal transmission.
