How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a 2.5" SATA drive into the SATA connector, and secure the drive as instructed by the enclosure design. Connect the enclosure to a computer using a USB Type-A cable supplied with the product or a compatible cable. The host operating system should detect the drive automatically; if the drive is new or unformatted, initialize and format it using the operating system disk management tools before storing data. For safe removal, use the operating system's eject or safely remove hardware function before unplugging the enclosure.

Recommendations

Use a high-quality USB 3.0 Type-A cable and connect to a USB 3.0/3.1 port to achieve the maximum specified transfer rate. Avoid exposing the enclosure to extreme temperatures, moisture, or physical shocks while a drive is installed. Regularly back up critical data stored on the enclosed drive and perform safe ejection procedures to prevent file system corruption.
