HDD/SSD-behuizing LogiLink UA0339 zwart 2,5 inch

The LogiLink UA0339 Black 2.5" HDD/SSD enclosure is a compact external housing designed to convert a 2.5" SATA drive into a USB-connected portable storage device. It accepts one 2.5" drive and supports SATA, SATA II and SATA III interfaces. The enclosure uses a Micro-USB B connector and implements USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1), enabling data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbit/s when paired with compatible hosts and drives. The slim black design provides a discreet, low-profile solution for backups, file transport and drive reuse.

Advantages

The enclosure provides straightforward tool-free installation for a single 2.5" drive and maintains compatibility with earlier SATA standards, allowing use with a wide range of HDDs and SSDs. With USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity and a Micro-USB B interface, it supports high-speed data transfer while remaining compatible with many existing USB cables and ports. Its compact black housing is designed for portability and everyday handling.

Suitable for

• Expanding storage by repurposing an internal 2.5" HDD or SSD as external storage
• Data backup and recovery tasks where quick access to drive contents is required
• Transferring large files between computers with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports
• Temporary use for cloning, diagnostics or system migration of laptops and small form-factor PCs

Key specifications

• Supported drive form factor: 2.5"
• Number of drives supported: 1
• Supported drive interfaces: SATA III, SATA II, SATA I
• USB standard: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) with up to 5 Gbit/s theoretical transfer rate
• USB connector: Micro-USB B
• Color: Black

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into the SATA interface, and ensure the drive is seated correctly. Close the enclosure, connect it to a host computer using a Micro-USB B to USB cable that matches the host port (for example USB-A or USB-C with an appropriate adapter), and allow the operating system to detect the drive. No additional drivers are typically required for modern Windows, macOS or Linux systems; once mounted, the drive is available for file operations, cloning or backups.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen 1 host port and use a good-quality cable. When using an SSD, ensure the host supports the drive’s maximum throughput to approach the enclosure’s 5 Gbit/s capability. Handle the drive carefully during installation and avoid disconnecting the enclosure during active data transfers; use the operating system’s safe remove or eject procedure before unplugging.
