HDMI-kabel Equip HDMI 2.0 actief optisch kabel M/M 50m

The Equip HDMI 2.0 Active Optical Cable M/M 50m combines optical fibre and copper conductors to extend HDMI signals over long distances without loss or added latency. This hybrid design carries high-speed TMDS data through multimode optical fibres while low-frequency control and power signals travel via copper wires. The cable supports HDMI 2.0 features, 18 Gbit/s bandwidth, 3D video and Audio Return Channel (ARC), and uses HDMI Type A connectors on both ends. The product is 50 m long and comes in a black jacket suitable for installations that require long-reach, high-quality HDMI connectivity.

Advantages

The active optical construction enables signal transmission up to 50 m with no degradation of image or audio quality and without external power. Optical fibres provide immunity to electromagnetic interference while the integrated copper conductors preserve control signal integrity. Compatibility with HDMI Type A connectors ensures broad device support and the cable’s slim, flexible design simplifies routing in AV installations.

Suitable for

• Home cinema systems requiring long HDMI runs
• Conference rooms and presentation setups
• Digital signage and display walls
• AV installations in auditoriums or lecture halls

Key specifications

• Length: 50 m
• Standard: HDMI 2.0
• Bandwidth: 18 Gbit/s
• Connectors: HDMI Type A (male) — both ends
• Video features: 3D support, ARC
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A end to the source device (for example a Blu-ray player, media streamer or PC) and the other HDMI Type A end to the display or AV receiver. Ensure connectors are fully inserted. Because the cable is active, no external power supply is required; the hybrid copper/optical design handles data and control channels automatically. Route the cable away from sharp bends and maintain a minimum bend radius to avoid damaging the optical fibres.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tight bends and kinks, keep the cable away from high-power electrical wiring, and secure connections at both ends. If used in permanent installations, allow service loops at connection points and test the link after installation to confirm 3D and ARC functionality.
