The MediaRange HDMI to DVI connection cable MRCS185 is a 2 m male-to-male cable with a gold-plated HDMI plug and a DVI‑D (18+1) plug. Designed for reliable signal transmission, this black cable connects devices such as monitors, projectors and TVs, providing stable video transfer between HDMI and DVI interfaces.

Advantages

This MediaRange cable offers gold-plated contacts to reduce corrosion and improve conductivity, a DVI‑D (18+1) connector for digital video signals and a 2 m length that balances reach and tidy installation. The male-to-male design ensures straightforward connection between HDMI output devices and DVI input displays without adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting HDMI source devices (e.g., PCs, laptops, media players) to DVI‑D displays
• Linking projectors or monitors that accept DVI input
• Home or office setups requiring a 2 m HDMI–DVI digital video cable

How to use

Plug the HDMI end into the HDMI output of your source device and connect the DVI‑D end to the DVI input of your display. Ensure both devices are powered on and select the correct input on the display. This cable transmits digital video; if audio is required and the DVI display does not accept audio via DVI, use a separate audio connection from the source device.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends near the connectors, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and verify display input settings after connection. Use the 2 m length to position devices without excessive cable tension.
