DVI-I 24+5 naar VGA adapterkoppeling ProXtend DVII245F-VGA zwart

The ProXtend DVII245F-VGA is a DVI-I 24+5 to VGA gender changer designed to enable a direct mechanical and electrical connection between a DVI-I output and a VGA input. Finished in black, the adapter provides a compact and durable interface that allows older analog VGA monitors and projectors to be used with equipment that has a DVI-I 24+5 connector. The adapter supports the analog signal pathway present in DVI-I connections, converting the physical connector format to the standard 15-pin VGA port without additional cabling.

Advantages

The adapter offers a simple passive solution for compatibility between DVI-I 24+5 ports and VGA displays, eliminating the need for bulky converters or external power. Its compact form factor and robust black housing make it convenient for desktop or rack-mounted systems where space is limited. Installation requires no software or configuration, and the gender changer preserves the analog signal path inherent to DVI-I connectors for straightforward use with VGA devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting VGA monitors or projectors to devices with a DVI-I 24+5 output
• Temporary workstation setups where legacy VGA displays must be reused
• IT environments that require quick mechanical adaptation between DVI-I and VGA connectors

Key specifications

• Connector 1: DVI-I 24+5
• Connector 2: VGA (15-pin)
• Product colour: Black

How to use

Power off connected devices before attaching the adapter. Align the DVI-I 24+5 male or female connector (as applicable) with the corresponding DVI-I port and insert firmly until seated; secure with screws if present. Plug the VGA cable from the monitor or projector into the VGA port of the adapter and tighten the retention screws to ensure a stable connection. Power on the devices and select the appropriate display input on the monitor or projector. No driver installation is required since the adapter uses the analog pins available in DVI-I connections.

Recommendations

Use the adapter only where the DVI-I port provides an analog VGA signal. Inspect connector pins for damage before use and avoid excessive bending of connected VGA cables. For long cable runs or when converting digital-only DVI-D signals, consider an active converter instead of a passive gender changer.
