Hypertec 850850-HY Netwerkkabel blauw 5 m Cat6 F/UTP (FTP)

The Hypertec 850850-HY Blue 5m Cat6 F/UTP networking cable by Exertis Connect is a 5-meter, shielded Ethernet lead built to support reliable high-speed data transmission in wired networks. Designed to the Cat6 specification and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable provides consistent connectivity between networking devices such as routers, switches, desktop computers and networked peripherals. The F/UTP shielding helps limit electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for installations where signal integrity is important.

Advantages

The cable supports Cat6 performance parameters for high data throughput and reduced crosstalk compared with lower-category cables. Foiled U/FTP (F/UTP) shielding around the twisted pairs provides improved protection against external EMI while the unshielded drain or overall foil maintains flexibility for routing. The 5 m length offers a balance between reach and cable management in home and office environments. Durable connector housings and molded strain reliefs are designed to withstand repeated plug cycles and minimise connector stress.

How to use

Route the cable between the two network devices ensuring the RJ-45 plugs align with the device ports. Insert the connectors fully until the latch clicks to confirm a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension along the cable run; use cable clips or ties to secure the cable and maintain bend radius. For rack or patch panel installations, label both ends for easy identification and organise the cable to prevent interference with other equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as large motors, fluorescent lighting ballasts or unshielded power lines. Use this Cat6 F/UTP cable for short to medium runs up to 5 m in indoor environments and combine with compatible Cat6-rated infrastructure for best results.
