Infraroodsensor STEINEL ST 602710 bedraad zwart 12m bereik IP54

The STEINEL IS 240 DUO wired infrared sensor offers automatic light control using two highly sensitive infrared detectors arranged to provide a wide 240° coverage. Designed for monitoring large façades and external corners, the sensor reliably detects motion across areas up to 230 m² and switches lighting on and off according to movement and ambient light. The unit includes a corner wall mount and a generously sized terminal compartment for quick wiring; the supply lead can be concealed or surface-mounted. Time delay and twilight threshold are adjustable via an accessible control dial, and fitted shrouds allow limiting the detection zone where required.

Advantages

The dual-detector layout ensures reliable detection over a very wide angle, reducing the need for multiple sensors. Adjustable time and light sensitivity settings allow tailoring operation to site conditions. Supplied with a corner wall mount and shrouds, the sensor is simple to install and configure. The clearly arranged terminal compartment and options for concealed or surface cabling speed up electrical connection and mounting. Protection rating IP54 and compact dimensions make the unit suitable for a variety of outdoor and indoor wall-mounted applications.

Suitable for

• Monitoring large building façades and entrances
• Surveillance of external corners and wide outdoor areas
• Automatic switching of outdoor lighting and security lights
• Applications requiring a single sensor to cover wide zones (up to 230 m²)

How to use

Mount the sensor on a wall or external corner using the supplied corner wall mount. Connect the supply lead in the clearly arranged terminal compartment, choosing to conceal or surface-mount the cable as required. Adjust the detection zone with the supplied shrouds to limit coverage where necessary. Use the accessible control dial to set the desired time delay and twilight threshold so the unit only operates under required light conditions and for the preferred duration.

Recommendations

Install the sensor at a recommended height and orientation for optimal coverage of the target zone, avoid placing it directly facing reflective surfaces or heat sources, and test the detection area after installation to fine-tune shrouds, time delay and light sensitivity settings.
