Interne WLAN-adapter Edimax EW-7612PIn V2

The Edimax EW-7612PIn V2 N300 Wireless PCI Express Adapter is an internal WLAN adapter that adds Wi‑Fi 4 (802.11n) connectivity to desktop PCs via a PCI Express slot. It supports wireless data rates up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, uses 2T2R MIMO technology, and includes two high‑gain 3 dBi detachable antennas and a low‑profile bracket for installation in smaller chassis.

Advantages

The adapter delivers improved wireless coverage and higher throughput compared with legacy 802.11b/g devices, and its PCI Express‑optimized chipset reduces collisions and latency compared with older PCI bus designs. A built‑in WPS button enables quick encrypted setup with compatible access points, while detachable antennas allow for flexible placement using extension cables if needed.

Suitable for

• Adding Wi‑Fi to a desktop computer with a free PCI Express slot
• Home or small office use on the 2.4 GHz band
• Replacing or upgrading older PCI wireless cards to 802.11n (Wi‑Fi 4)

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11n / 802.11g / 802.11b
• Maximum data rate: up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz)
• Radio: 2T2R MIMO
• Antennas: two detachable 3 dBi high‑gain antennas
• Interface: PCI Express
• Colors: silver, green, black

How to use

Install the adapter into an available PCI Express slot on your desktop motherboard and secure it with the included bracket (use the low‑profile bracket for small form‑factor cases if required). Attach the two detachable antennas and connect power to the PC. Use the bundled EZmax setup wizard or your operating system’s network settings to install drivers and configure the wireless network. To quickly establish a secure connection with a WPS‑enabled router, press the WPS button on the adapter and then the router’s WPS button.

Recommendations

For best performance, place the antennas vertically and, if possible, use antenna extension cables to avoid metal obstructions inside the case. Connect to an 802.11n access point to achieve the full 300 Mbps link rate; throughput will vary depending on environment and network conditions.
