IP-bewakingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2343G2-IU dome 2688 x 1520 pixel

The Hikvision DS-2CD2343G2-IU Dome 2688 x 1520 pixels is an outdoor IP security camera designed for fixed surveillance installations on ceilings or walls. It delivers 2688 x 1520 resolution at up to 30 fps using a CMOS sensor and a 2.8 mm fixed focal length for wide coverage. The compact black dome housing supports outdoor placement and wired Ethernet connectivity. Built-in video motion detection and Hikvision ColorVu technology with an F1.0 super-aperture and supplemental warm lighting enable vivid, colorful images even in low-light or near-zero-light conditions.

Advantages

This dome camera combines high-resolution imaging with a wide horizontal viewing angle (103°) and a vertical viewing angle (55°), allowing broad scene capture with fewer cameras. The F1.0 advanced lens and optimized sensor increase light collection for clearer color images at night, while the integrated warm supplemental lighting preserves color without relying solely on infrared. Wired Ethernet ensures reliable network connection and consistent frame rate performance up to 30 fps. The compact dome design supports discreet ceiling or wall installation and is specified for outdoor use.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Perimeter and entrance monitoring for small to medium commercial properties
• Parking areas, driveways and outdoor approaches
• Residential outdoor surveillance covering yards and building exteriors
• Common areas of multi-unit properties such as corridors and shared outdoor spaces

How to use

Mount the dome camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface at a height and angle that provides the desired field of view; use the 360° rotation to fine-tune orientation during installation. Connect the camera to your network using a wired Ethernet connection and configure basic settings such as resolution, frame rate, and motion detection through the Hikvision management software or supported network video recorder (NVR). Adjust supplemental lighting sensitivity and ColorVu settings to balance exposure and maintain color fidelity in low-light conditions. Secure all cable entries and weatherproof any external connections to preserve outdoor reliability.

Recommendations

Position the camera to minimize direct exposure to strong light sources (for example, aim away from rising or setting sun) and avoid placing it directly opposite reflective surfaces. For comprehensive coverage, combine multiple units to eliminate blind spots and configure motion detection zones to reduce false alarms. Regularly inspect the dome cover for dirt or condensation and clean with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain image clarity.
