Irix 21mm f/1.4 Dragonfly groothoek prime voor Nikon F

A manual-focus prime that pairs an ultra-wide 21mm perspective with an exceptionally bright f/1.4 aperture, the Irix Dragonfly stands apart from typical wide-angle lenses that force you to choose between field of view and low-light capability. Built around a robust aluminum-magnesium barrel with weather sealing, it is equally at home in challenging outdoor conditions or in the studio, delivering a 89.7° diagonal angle of view for dramatic landscapes, architecture, astrophotography, and environmental portraits.

Highlights

• Ultra-wide 21mm focal length with full-frame (FX) coverage for expansive scenes
• Bright f/1.4 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field and low-light shooting
• Manual focus design with precise, damped focusing ring and focus lock
• Clickable/de-clickable aperture ring with 11 rounded diaphragm blades for smooth bokeh
• Weather-sealed construction with three rubber seals to resist dust and moisture
• 86mm front filter thread for creative filter use

In daily use

The 21mm focal length offers a dramatic perspective that draws viewers into the frame, while the f/1.4 aperture allows you to isolate subjects even at such a wide angle. Manual focus is smooth and precise, aided by a hyperfocal scale and UV-reactive engravings that remain visible in low light. The lens focuses as close as 0.3 m, letting you get near your subject for exaggerated foreground interest. The aperture ring can be set to click in 1/3-stop increments or de-clicked for silent, smooth adjustments during video work. The built-in focus lock prevents accidental shifts once you have dialed in critical focus.
