Joyo JF-308 Golden Face - gitaareffect

On a dimly lit stage, the guitarist steps on the JOYO JF-308 Golden Face and instantly the amp snarls with the classic British rock crunch that defined a generation. This miniature overdrive pedal, part of the Ironman Mini Series, delivers the legendary JCM800-style tone in a footprint smaller than a smartphone. Its flip-top cover protects the Drive, Tone, and Volume knobs during transport, then snaps open for quick adjustments mid-set. True bypass switching keeps your clean signal pristine, while the analog circuit responds to every pick attack with tube-like dynamics. Whether you're chasing 80s hard rock leads or pushing a clean amp into warm breakup, the Golden Face is your secret weapon.

Why choose it

The Golden Face stands out for its authentic British overdrive tone in an ultra-compact, road-ready enclosure. The flip-top cover is a brilliant innovation—no more lost knobs or accidental setting changes during transport. True bypass preserves your tone when the pedal is off, and the analog circuit delivers the touch-sensitive response that digital emulations often miss. It's the perfect way to get that iconic crunch without a massive pedalboard footprint.

Ideal use cases

• Live performance: easily fits on any pedalboard and withstands gigging abuse.
• Studio recording: adds authentic British amp character to direct recordings.
• Practice: compact enough for a desktop setup, yet full of pro-level tone.
• Guitarists who want JCM800-style overdrive without the cost or weight of a full amp.

Good to know

The pedal requires a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply (not included). It does not support batteries due to its compact size. The aluminum alloy housing is rugged and lightweight, and the flip-top cover doubles as a knob guard. The LED indicator shows effect status at a glance, and the 1/4" mono jacks ensure compatibility with standard guitar cables.
