K2 Systems GreenRoof Obergurt 1000 bovenrail profiel 2004194

For installers seeking a mounting solution that integrates seamlessly with green roof environments, the K2 Systems GreenRoof Obergurt 1000 offers a distinct advantage: it is engineered specifically as the upper rail profile in the GreenRoof system, providing a robust, corrosion-resistant aluminium track for securing photovoltaic modules above vegetated roofing. Unlike generic profiles, this component is tailored to work with K2 GreenRoof base rails and clamps, ensuring precise alignment and long-term structural integrity in outdoor conditions.

Highlights

• Constructed from high-grade aluminium EN AW-6063 T66 for excellent strength-to-weight ratio and durability.
• 1000 mm length with a low-profile 30 mm width and 20 mm height, ideal for discreet module support.
• Mill finish natural aluminium surface provides inherent corrosion and UV resistance without additional coatings.
• Designed for top-mounted installation onto GreenRoof base components, simplifying assembly and alignment.
• 100% recyclable material supports sustainable building practices.

In daily use

On a green roof, the Obergurt 1000 serves as the backbone for module attachment. Its 30 mm width offers a stable platform for K2 module clamps, while the 20 mm height keeps the overall profile low to minimize wind uplift and visual impact. The aluminium construction withstands the humid, often acidic microclimate of vegetated roofs, resisting corrosion far better than steel alternatives. Installers appreciate the straightforward top-mount design, which reduces installation time and ensures a secure fit with GreenRoof base rails.
