Kabel gender changer ShiverPeaks BS77045

The ShiverPeaks BS77045 is a compact USB B to USB A gender changer designed to enable direct connection between devices with USB B and USB A interfaces. Constructed with nickel-plated contacts and a grey finish, this adapter provides a reliable electrical connection while remaining small and easy to carry. It is intended for situations where a change of connector gender is required without altering cable assemblies or replacing cables.

Advantages

Nickel-plated contacts reduce corrosion and maintain signal integrity over time. The compact, lightweight housing simplifies installation in tight spaces and supports portable use. Its simple, passive design requires no drivers or power, offering plug-and-play compatibility with standard USB devices. The neutral grey colour helps the adapter blend into office and home setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting a device with a USB B receptacle to a USB A plug
• Adapting cables when replacing or re-pinning is impractical
• Temporary connections during equipment setup or testing
• Use in office, workshop, or home computing environments

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB B
• Connector 2: USB A
• Contacts: nickel-plated for improved corrosion resistance
• Finish: grey
• Type: passive gender changer (no active electronics)

How to use

Insert the USB B connector of the adapter into the device or cable with a USB B plug or receptacle as appropriate, and then connect the USB A plug or cable to the adapter's USB A side. Ensure connectors are aligned correctly before applying pressure; do not force connections. Because the adapter is passive, no software configuration is needed—devices should recognize the physical connection according to their standard USB behaviour.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the adapter with cables and devices that conform to standard USB specifications and avoid excessive bending near the connector ends. Do not use the adapter to convert between different USB signal types (for example, USB-C or proprietary interfaces) or to change power specifications; verify compatibility of connected devices before prolonged use.
