Kabel helos Cat.6 S/FTP halogeenvrij dubbel afgeschermd paars 10 m

helos Cat.6 S/FTP halogen-free double-shielded purple 10 m is a network patch cable designed for structured cabling and Gigabit Ethernet connections. The S/FTP construction provides individual foil shielding around each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield, which reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in environments with multiple cables and electronic devices. The halogen-free jacket material lowers toxic and corrosive gas emissions in case of fire, and the 10-meter length in a distinct purple color supports flexible installation and easy identification in wiring closets and server rooms.

Advantages

The double-shielded S/FTP design enhances signal integrity and improves electromagnetic compatibility compared with unshielded alternatives. A halogen-free outer jacket minimizes hazardous gas output during combustion and is suitable for indoor installations where safety regulations or material preferences require low-smoke, halogen-free cabling. The 10 m length balances reach and manageability for common horizontal and patching runs, while the purple jacket aids visual organization and quick identification among multiple cable runs.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) connections between network devices
• Structured cabling in offices, data centers, and telecommunication rooms
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred
• Indoor installations requiring low-smoke, halogen-free materials

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual foil per pair + overall braid)
• Jacket material: halogen-free compound
• Length: 10 m
• Color: purple
• Performance: suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and up to standard Cat.6 frequency ranges
• Conductor type: twisted pairs (solid or stranded depending on assembly)

How to use

Connect one RJ45 terminated end of the helos Cat.6 S/FTP cable to the network port of a switch, router, patch panel, or endpoint device and the other end to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and crushing; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius to preserve shielding and pair geometry. For installations in shielded environments, ensure proper grounding of the cable shields at equipment or patch panels according to local electrical codes and networking best practices.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat.6 S/FTP cable for horizontal and patching runs up to 10 m where shielded cabling is required. Inspect connectors and jacket for damage before installation, avoid excessive pulling force, and terminate or connect shields to grounded infrastructure to maintain EMC benefits.
