Kabeladapter EFB Elektronik EB540

The EFB Elektronik EB540 cable gender changer is a compact adapter with two F-connectors designed to join or extend coaxial cable runs. Its black metal housing provides a low-profile, durable connection point for coaxial cables used in TV, satellite and broadband installations. The adapter enables quick reversal or extension of connector gender without rewiring, simplifying cable routing and reducing installation time.

Advantages

The adapter offers a simple, tool-free solution for converting connector gender or joining two coaxial cables while maintaining signal continuity. Its metal body and F-connector interfaces resist wear from repeated connections and provide consistent mechanical stability. The neutral black finish blends with most installations and reduces visual contrast in equipment racks and behind media units.

Key specifications

• Connector type: F-Connector to F-Connector
• Housing colour: Black
• Form factor: Inline gender changer adapter
• Compatibility: Standard coaxial cables with F-connector termination (75 Ω)

How to use

Connect one end of the coaxial cable to each F-connector on the adapter, ensuring the centre conductor and threaded outer conductor engage correctly. Hand-tighten the threaded couplings until secure; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the connector or cable. Use the adapter inline where a gender change or a short extension is required, keeping the connection clean and free from moisture for reliable signal performance.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, protected environments or inside equipment cabinets. For outdoor or weather-exposed installations, pair the adapter with appropriate weatherproofing (e.g., self-amalgamating tape or weatherproof enclosures) to prevent corrosion and maintain signal quality.
