Kabelkoppeling RJ45 ShiverPeaks BS75006-M

The ShiverPeaks BS75006-M is a metallic RJ45 cable gender changer designed to connect two RJ45 network cables directly. The compact adapter features a sturdy metal housing and gold-plated contacts to reduce signal loss and ensure consistent Ethernet connectivity. It provides a simple, passive means to convert cable end gender without altering cable structure or affecting network performance when used within supported cabling standards.

Advantages

The metal construction offers mechanical durability and improved shielding compared with plastic adapters, while gold-plated contacts improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. Its compact size allows use in confined spaces and easy installation or relocation without tools. Being a passive adapter, it requires no power and does not introduce active electronics that could affect signal integrity.

Suitable for

• Connecting two Ethernet cables to extend reach where a single continuous cable is not available
• Changing connector gender in temporary or permanent network setups
• Home networking, office patching, server racks and lab bench use
• Field technicians and installers needing a compact gender changer for on-site adjustments

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ45 female to RJ45 female (cable gender changer)
• Housing: metallic shell for mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding
• Contacts: gold-plated for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Cable compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6 and similar, subject to cable and system limitations)
• Power: passive, no external power required
• Dimensions: compact inline form factor suitable for confined spaces

How to use

Insert each RJ45 cable plug into the adapter's female RJ45 ports until the plug latches. Ensure both cable plugs are fully seated to maintain secure contact. Verify link status and data transmission on connected devices after installation. For best results, use cables and connectors in good condition and avoid bending the cables sharply at the connection point.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with compatible Ethernet cables and avoid stacking multiple passive couplers in series to minimize potential signal degradation. For high-speed or critical network links, verify performance after installation and prefer a single continuous cable run where possible.
