Kabelverbinder ShiverPeaks BS51210-MG 3,5 mm goud

The ShiverPeaks BS51210-MG 3.5 mm Gold is a single female wire connector designed for audio connections. Finished in a gold-coloured plating, this 3.5 mm connector provides a contact point for standard mini-jack plugs and is intended for use where a reliable female audio connection is required. It is supplied individually and is compatible with typical audio wiring and assemblies used in consumer and professional audio equipment.

Advantages

The gold-coloured plating improves contact conductivity compared with plain metal finishes and offers resistance to surface corrosion. The compact 3.5 mm female format is compatible with a wide range of devices and cables, enabling straightforward integration into existing audio assemblies. Supplied as a single unit, the connector is convenient for replacement or custom wiring jobs.

Suitable for

• Repairing or replacing a 3.5 mm female jack on audio devices
• Custom cable assemblies and DIY audio projects
• Integrating into enclosures, panels, or extension leads
• Use in consumer electronics, studio equipment, or portable audio devices

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm female (mini-jack)
• Finish: gold-coloured plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Supply format: single unit
• Compatibility: standard 3.5 mm plugs and common audio cables
• Typical mounting: inline or panel-mounted depending on enclosure and wiring

How to use

Prepare the audio cable by stripping the insulation to expose the conductor and shield according to the connector's wiring requirements. Solder or crimp the conductors to the appropriate terminals of the female connector following standard wiring conventions (tip, ring, sleeve). Secure the connector into its housing or panel opening and verify mechanical retention and electrical continuity before final assembly. Test with a known working 3.5 mm male plug to confirm a correct audio signal path.

Recommendations

When installing the ShiverPeaks 3.5 mm female connector, use proper soldering technique and shielding practices to maintain audio quality. Avoid excessive mechanical strain on the cable and provide strain relief where possible. For long-term reliability, store and handle the gold-plated connector in a dry environment to reduce contamination of contact surfaces.
