Knikkerbaan Ravensburger GraviTrax Junior startset XXL Dino, parcoursbouw voor kinderen

Ravensburger 24845 is a marble run construction set created for children aged 3–4. The kit contains large, easy-to-handle track elements and supports that connect simply, plus themed components and marbles to assemble gravity-driven courses. Designed as an introductory active/skill toy, it helps toddlers practise hand–eye coordination, fine motor control and basic cause-and-effect while offering a stable, reusable construction system for supervised play at home or in early education settings.

Advantages

The Ravensburger 24845 set uses durable, child-safe plastic parts sized for young hands and a simple connection system that reduces assembly time. Components are robust for repeated use and the design emphasizes stable constructions that resist accidental collapse. By focusing on large elements and straightforward assembly, the set reduces frustration and supports progressive learning as children try longer runs and varied layouts. The marbles and track shapes are optimized to demonstrate gravity and motion clearly at a scale appropriate for preschoolers.

Suitable for

• Introducing basic STEM concepts such as gravity and motion to preschool children
• Supervised play sessions at home, daycare or preschool
• Developing fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination in toddlers
• Cooperative play between child and caregiver or among small groups

Key specifications

• Construction type: gravity-driven marble run with interlocking, oversized track pieces
• Materials: robust, child-safe plastics designed for repeated assembly
• Assembly: simplified connections suited to ages 3–4
• Play features: curves, drops and support elements to create varied runs
• Intended use: supervised play for early skill development and exploration

How to use

Open the package and sort the parts by shape and size. Use the illustrated instruction sheet to build the starter layout, connecting supports and track pieces until the course is stable. Place a marble on the starting point and release it to observe how gravity guides motion through curves and drops. Encourage children to change heights, add or remove supports and rearrange pieces to test different outcomes. Always assemble and store components with adult supervision and check connections before each play session.

Recommendations

Use the marble run on a flat, stable surface and supervise children during play. Keep small parts away from children under the recommended age. Combine this kit with other compatible junior construction pieces to increase length and complexity gradually, and rotate layouts to sustain interest and learning.
