Krimpkous DeLOCK 18984 zwart 2 m 1,8 cm

The DeLOCK 18984 heat shrink tube is a 2 m long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1.8 cm in black finish. It is designed to insulate and protect wires, cables and electrical tubes by shrinking tightly around them when exposed to heat, providing mechanical protection and resistance to environmental influences.

Advantages

The polyolefin material offers reliable electrical insulation and mechanical strength while the 2 m length and 1.8 cm maximum diameter accommodate a range of cable sizes. The black colour provides a discreet finish suitable for visible installations. The sleeve's shrinking action ensures a tight, secure fit that helps prevent moisture ingress and abrasion.

Suitable for

• Insulating single wires and small cable bundles
• Protecting automotive wiring and harness repairs
• Sealing connections in electronic assemblies
• Mechanical protection for exposed cable sections

How to use

Cut the heat shrink tube to the required length, slide it over the cable or connection and apply heat evenly (for example with a heat gun or controlled flame) until the sleeve contracts and conforms to the shape of the cable. Allow it to cool so the material hardens and maintains a secure insulating fit.

Recommendations

For best results, use a regulated heat source such as a heat gun and apply heat uniformly to avoid overheating or uneven shrinkage. Verify that the pre-shrink diameter matches the cable bundle and ensure surfaces are clean and dry before application.
