LevelOne AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 outdoor PoE WLAN-accesspoint, rondstralende antenne

The LevelOne WAB-8021 is a standalone AX3000 omni-directional outdoor dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 PoE wireless access point that delivers combined speeds of up to 2976 Mbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2401 Mbps on 5 GHz). Designed for outdoor deployments, it supports 802.11ax Wave 2 MU‑MIMO to serve multiple devices simultaneously and includes Gigabit Ethernet with Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation.

Advantages

The access point supports dual-band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and advanced WPA3 encryption while remaining backward compatible with WPA2. Its IP67-rated weatherproof housing protects against rain, dust, humidity and snow, and the omni-directional antenna design provides outdoor coverage up to approximately 100 m. PoE capability removes the need for a separate power source, and Gigabit Ethernet ensures wired uplink at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s.

Suitable for

• Outdoor coverage for small and medium business premises
• Public outdoor hotspots in parks, campuses or venues
• Surveillance and IoT device backhaul in outdoor environments
• Temporary outdoor events and installations

How to use

Mount the WAB-8021 at the desired outdoor location following local mounting guidelines and ensure the antenna has clear surroundings for best coverage. Connect the device to a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector using a Cat5e or better Ethernet cable to provide both power and network connectivity. Access the web management interface or use supported network management tools to configure SSIDs, security (WPA3/WPA2), channels and other wireless settings. Verify firmware is up to date before full deployment.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, position the access point at a height and location that minimises physical obstructions and electromagnetic interference. Use shielded and weather-rated Ethernet cabling and seal cable entries. When deploying multiple units, plan channel allocation and power levels to reduce co‑channel interference and optimise MU‑MIMO benefits.
