Lindy 45979 Netwerkkabel geel 0,3 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Cat.6 S/FTP network cable, 0.3 m length, designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and supporting Ethernet standards up to 1GBase-T. The cable uses an overall braided shield plus foil shielding around each wire pair (S/FTP) and features RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts. The halogen-free (LSZH) sheath reduces smoke and eliminates toxic halogen emissions, making it suitable for use in public spaces.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable Gigabit Ethernet connections. Gold-plated contacts ensure durable, corrosion-resistant terminations for long-term reliable connectivity. A snagless strain relief protects the connector latch during installation and removal. The LSZH jacket offers low smoke and no halogen emissions for safer operation in enclosed or public environments.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1GBase-T) connections
• AV extension and professional networking installations
• Short patch connections in server rooms, data cabinets and desktop setups

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 (ISO/IEC 11801)
• Shielding: S/FTP (braid overall + foil per pair)
• Bandwidth / Operating frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Maximum supported Ethernet: 1GBase-T
• Length: 0.3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen-free)
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network ports on your devices (switch, router, NIC or patch panel). Ensure connectors click into place and that the cable is routed without sharp bends or excessive tension. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this 0.3 m Cat6 S/FTP patch cable for short, high-quality connections where reliable Gigabit performance and low-emission jacket material are required; replace cables showing damaged connectors or compromised shielding to maintain network integrity.
