Lindy 47816 Netwerkkabel Oranje 30 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy Cat.6 S/FTP RJ-45 30m Orange networking cable provides a 30-metre connection for reliable wired Ethernet links. Constructed to support Gigabit Ethernet over 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks, the cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. Both ends terminate in gold-plated RJ-45 plugs to maintain consistent contact and signal integrity. The orange jacket improves visibility in cabling runs and helps identify the cable among other network leads.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs, decreasing susceptibility to external noise and improving performance in environments with multiple electrical devices. The Cat6 specification supports higher frequencies and bandwidth than Cat5e, making it suitable for Gigabit applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors resist corrosion and provide low-resistance contact for stable data transmission. The 30 m length covers typical room-to-closet or office-to-switch runs without additional couplers.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections in homes and small offices
• Patch panel to wall socket or switch connections
• Workstations, VoIP phones and network printers
• Structured cabling where cable identification is required

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Orange

How to use

Run the cable between network endpoints ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight kinks to maintain impedance characteristics. Terminate by inserting the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on switches, routers or network devices until the latch clicks. When routing through cable trays or along walls, secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties without compressing the jacket. For long installations, test the link with a network tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and expected performance at Gigabit speeds.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and sources of electromagnetic interference. Use the orange colour to separate this run from other services and label both ends for easier management. If extended runs beyond 30 m are required, place an active network device or patch panel at intermediate points to maintain signal quality.
