Luidspreker AUDAC SSP500 20 W

The AUDAC SSP500 is a flush-mount 2-way wired speaker designed for use in spaces with high humidity and elevated temperatures such as saunas, bathrooms and pool areas. It has a perforated aluminium grille with an ABS surround in off-white and a paintable front to match different interiors. The speaker uses a 5" cone driver and a 1" tweeter to deliver natural, detailed sound with a continuous power rating of 20 W RMS and an impedance of 8 Ω.

Advantages

The SSP500 combines corrosion-resistant materials — polypropylene cone, ABS basket and aluminium grille — to withstand extreme humidity and temperature. Its 2-way design offers clear midrange and treble through a 5" woofer and 1" tweeter, while the off-white, paintable front allows discreet integration into varied interior styles.

Suitable for

• Saunas
• Bathrooms
• Indoor swimming pool areas
• Other high-humidity, high-temperature indoor environments

How to use

Install the SSP500 as a flush-mounted fixture in a suitable wall or ceiling location following local installation codes and the speaker manufacturer’s mounting instructions. Connect the speaker to a compatible amplifier or audio source using standard wired speaker connections, observing polarity. Adjust amplifier power to match the 20 W RMS rating to avoid overdriving the speaker.

Recommendations

For long-term reliability in humid and warm spaces, ensure proper ventilation where possible and avoid direct exposure to water jets. Periodically inspect the grille and enclosure for signs of corrosion or seal deterioration; repainting the front may be used to refresh appearance but use appropriate paint compatible with aluminium and ABS.
