Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 2,5 mm² (50×0,25) CCA rood/zwart 25 m

ShiverPeaks speaker cable 2.5 mm² (50×0.25) CCA in red/black, supplied on a 25 m reel, is designed for connecting loudspeakers in home audio, public-address and fixed installation systems. The cable uses copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors with a 2.5 mm² cross-sectional area and a 50×0.25 strand configuration, and features red/black polarity marking to simplify identification during installation. The construction balances electrical performance and material cost for installations where CCA conductors are acceptable.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks 2.5 mm² speaker cable offers a consistent conductor geometry and clear polarity marking, which reduces installation errors and speeds up wiring tasks. Its 25 m reel format provides a convenient length for medium-run speaker connections without multiple joins. The CCA conductor construction provides lower weight compared with solid copper while maintaining conductive surface characteristics due to the copper cladding.

Suitable for

• Home audio loudspeaker connections
• Public-address and paging systems
• Fixed audio installations in halls, classrooms and meeting rooms
• Runs where cost-effective conductors and reasonable signal transfer are acceptable

Key specifications

• Conductor type: copper-clad aluminum (CCA)
• Cross-sectional area: 2.5 mm²
• Conductor configuration: 50 strands × 0.25 mm
• Polarity marking: red and black conductors
• Length: 25 m on a reel
• Application: speaker / audio installation cable

How to use

Strip the outer insulation and the conductor insulation to expose the strands, taking care not to nick the conductors. Use the red and black polarity marking to maintain consistent phase when connecting speakers to amplifiers. For best contact, twist or tin the conductor ends where appropriate, and use proper speaker terminals, banana plugs or screw terminals compatible with stranded conductors. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable along its route to prevent movement and mechanical strain.

Recommendations

For longer runs or installations requiring minimal resistance and maximum durability, consider comparing conductor materials and gauge; CCA cables are suitable where reduced weight and cost are priorities but are not a full copper substitute in terms of conductivity. Verify compatibility with terminals and adhesive or crimping methods before final installation.
