Mesh-systeem Xiaomi AC1200 dualband Wi-Fi 5

The Xiaomi AC1200 Mesh System Router 2 Pack provides dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 coverage designed to eliminate signal dead zones across large homes. The compact, white units integrate into home decor while delivering combined wired and wireless connectivity. Units in the 2-pack are pre-paired so any device can be used as the main router; after configuring the main unit the remaining node(s) automatically join to form a Mesh network. The system supports up to 120 connected devices and offers millisecond-level roaming and automatic network optimization for stable performance.

Advantages

The Xiaomi AC1200 supports dual-band operation (2.4 GHz for range, 5 GHz for speed) and Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) for up to 867 Mbit/s per band profile. It includes two Gigabit WAN/LAN auto-sensing Ethernet ports for flexible wired connections, internal antennas for a minimal look, and compatibility with WPA‑PSK, WPA2‑PSK and WPA3‑SAE security standards. Prearranged kit pairing simplifies setup, and the system can be managed in real time using the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app. In gaming scenarios, Xiaomi and Redmi phones receive an exclusive acceleration channel to reduce latency.

Suitable for

• Large homes and multi-room apartments requiring whole-home Wi‑Fi coverage
• Streaming HD video and online multimedia consumption
• Remote work, video calls and online learning
• Gaming with reduced roaming latency (especially on Xiaomi/Redmi phones)
• Smart home device connectivity and IoT setups

How to use

Place the main unit near your modem and connect it with an Ethernet cable to the WAN port. Power on the main unit and follow the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app instructions to complete initial network configuration. After setup, power on the second unit; because the 2‑pack comes pre‑paired, the additional unit will automatically join the Mesh and extend coverage. You can place the second unit in an area with weak signal to improve throughput and stability. Use the app to monitor device connections, update firmware and adjust basic network settings.

Recommendations

Position nodes in open areas away from large metal objects and heavy electronic interference. For best performance, place the secondary unit roughly halfway between the main router and the area that needs improved coverage. Use the 5 GHz band for high‑bandwidth tasks and the 2.4 GHz band when extended range and wall penetration are required.
