Mini-pc Minis Forum UM890 Pro Ryzen 9 8945HS barebone

The Minisforum UM890 Pro is a compact mini-PC powered by the AMD Ryzen™ 7 8845HS (Zen 4) processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, offering peak frequency up to 5.2 GHz. The unit is supplied without RAM or SSD, and supports up to 96 GB of DDR memory and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSDs for a maximum internal storage of 4 TB. Integrated AMD Radeon™ 780M graphics and support for up to four displays make this mini-PC suitable for multimedia, productivity and light content-creation workflows.

Advantages

High single‑ and multi‑core performance from the Ryzen 7 8845HS enables demanding tasks such as video editing, multitasking and AI‑assisted workloads. PCIe 4.0 SSD support and a 5600 MHz memory frequency provide fast data access and responsive system behaviour. The device offers a wide set of wired and wireless interfaces, including dual 2.5G Ethernet, USB4, multiple USB 3.2 ports, HDMI 2.1 and DP1.4, while the Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system with liquid metal and active cooling for RAM and SSD maintains stability under load. VESA compatibility allows space‑saving mounting behind a monitor or on a wall.

Suitable for

• Office productivity and multitasking
• Photo and video editing at moderate workloads
• Multiscreen workstations (up to 4 displays)
• Media playback and streaming
• Light gaming and GPU‑accelerated applications

Ensure the supplied external power adapter (19V/6.32A) is used and connected to a properly grounded outlet.

Recommendations

To achieve optimal performance and stability, install memory modules in matched pairs and use PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs. Maintain airflow around the enclosure and update chipset and GPU drivers after installing your operating system. Because RAM and SSD are not included, choose quality components with compatible specifications (DDR at 5600 MHz or supported frequencies and M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 drives).
