Montageset Noctua NM-AM5/4-MP78 chroom zwart voor CPU-koeler – ondersteunt AM4- en AM5-socket

The Noctua NM-AM5/4-MP78 is a SecuFirm2™ mounting upgrade kit that enables Noctua CPU coolers with a 78mm mounting pitch to be used on AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets. The kit is designed for straightforward installation onto the standard AMD backplate and is intended for users who wish to retain their existing Noctua heatsinks while moving to the latest Ryzen platforms. The finish combines chrome and black components and the kit is compatible with a range of Noctua coolers that use the 78mm pitch; coolers with an 83mm pitch require the MP83 variant.

Advantages

SecuFirm2™ mounting quality provides long-term stability and precise engineering for reliable performance. High-grade coil springs ensure consistent and optimal contact pressure between the cooler base and the CPU surface without the need to guess torque, reducing the risk of socket damage. The kit mounts to the motherboard’s stock AMD backplate to minimise additional parts and simplify installation. Designed specifically for AM5 and AM4, the kit avoids cross-platform compromises and ensures compatibility and correct fit. By enabling reuse of older Noctua coolers, the kit supports a more sustainable approach to hardware upgrades.

Suitable for

• Noctua CPU coolers with a 78mm mounting pitch
• Upgrading existing Noctua heatsinks to AMD AM5 and AM4 platforms
• Users who want to keep their current cooler when switching to Ryzen CPUs
• Systems that use the standard AMD backplate pre-installed on the motherboard

How to use

Confirm that your Noctua cooler uses a 78mm mounting pitch and that your motherboard has the standard AMD backplate pre-installed. Follow Noctua’s compatibility guide to ensure this kit matches your heatsink model. Remove the cooler from the socket, install the SecuFirm2™ mounting components according to the supplied instructions, and secure the cooler using the provided screws and springs to achieve uniform contact pressure. Reinstall the cooler and reconnect any fan or pump connectors as required.

Recommendations

Use the NM-AM5/4-MP78 only with compatible Noctua coolers (78mm pitch) and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. For heatsinks with 83mm pitch, select the MP83 version. Ensure even tightening of mounting screws to maintain correct contact pressure and avoid overtightening.
