Netwerk-patchkabel Vention Cat.8 S/FTP RJ-45 naar RJ-45 5 m zwart

The Vention Cat.8 SFTP Patch Cable (5 m, black) is a high-performance network cable designed for demanding wired connections. It supports up to 2000 MHz bandwidth and data transmission speeds up to 40 Gbps, uses a 28 AWG oxygen-free copper core with four twisted pairs, and features S/FTP (aluminum foil plus metal braid) double shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable signal integrity. The cable is compatible with devices that use RJ-45 ports and backward-compatible with Cat7/Cat6a/Cat6/Cat5e standards.

Advantages

Cat.8 specification delivers extremely high bandwidth and throughput for reduced latency in gaming, large-file transfers, and high-resolution streaming. Double shielding (S/FTP) and a gold-plated RJ-45 connector provide improved resistance to electromagnetic interference and durable contact performance. The 28 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors enhance stability and sustained data rates compared with thinner-gauge alternatives.

Suitable for

• Online gaming consoles (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch)
• 4K/8K Smart TVs, media players and streaming devices
• High-speed home and office network equipment (routers, switches, NAS, servers)
• CCTV/IP camera systems and professional network deployments

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.8 (S/FTP)
• Bandwidth: up to 2000 MHz
• Maximum data rate: up to 40 Gbps
• Conductor: 28 AWG oxygen-free copper, 4 twisted pairs
• Shielding: Aluminum foil + metal braid (S/FTP)
• Connectors: Gold-plated RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 5 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one gold-plated RJ-45 end of the cable to the Ethernet port of your router, switch, console, PC or other network device and plug the other end into the corresponding RJ-45 port on the remote device. Ensure the connectors are fully seated until they click. For optimal performance, use Cat.8-capable equipment or ensure intermediary devices (switches, patch panels) support the required bandwidth. Route the cable away from strong sources of electrical interference and avoid tight bends that can stress the conductors.

Recommendations

For best results in gaming and high-bandwidth applications, use this 5 m Cat.8 SFTP cable between high-performance routers, switches and devices. If your network components do not support Cat.8 speeds, the cable remains backward-compatible with Cat7/Cat6a/Cat6/Cat5e standards.
