Netwerk-videorecorder Hikvision DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8 kanalen 7680x4320

The Network Video Recorder Hikvision DS-7608NI-M2/8P is an 8‑channel NVR that supports up to 7680×4320 output resolution and offers integrated PoE for connected cameras. The recorder uses H.265+ compression to reduce storage requirements, provides dual-stream recording for bandwidth efficiency, and supports secure stream transmission over TLS. With up to two SATA drives supported and a maximum storage capacity aligned with the product data, the unit provides synchronized playback of up to 8 channels and independent HDMI and VGA outputs including HDMI up to 8K.

Advantages

This NVR reduces storage and bandwidth demands through H.265+ compression and dual-stream recording, improves security with TLS stream encryption and double verification for playback and download, and simplifies camera connection with eight independent PoE ports. It also delivers high-resolution local video output, multi-channel synchronous playback, and supports advanced analytics such as VCA events, ANPR and people counting for flexible surveillance setups.

Suitable for

• Small to medium surveillance systems requiring up to 8 IP cameras
• Locations needing high-resolution local monitoring (up to 8K HDMI output)
• Installations that benefit from PoE camera power and network simplicity
• Sites that use video analytics: motion, intrusion, line crossing, heat map, ANPR, and people counting

How to use

Install up to two SATA hard drives according to the manufacturer’s instructions and connect IP cameras to the built‑in PoE ports for power and data. Use the HDMI or VGA output to connect a monitor for live view and local playback, and configure recording, network and analytics settings through the device web interface or client software. For remote access, set up Hik‑Connect or DDNS and ensure proper network configuration and firewall settings.

Recommendations

For reliable continuous recording, use surveillance‑grade HDDs matched to the device’s supported capacity and configure H.265+ with appropriate bitrates. Enable TLS streaming and double verification for playback/download when accessing recordings remotely, and distribute camera placement to optimize VCA events such as motion detection and ANPR.
