Netwerkkabel Dexlan 858379 zwart 3 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dexlan 858379 Black 3m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission over a 3 meter length. Built to Cat6a performance levels with S/FTP (shielded overall with individually foiled pairs), it provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. The cable is terminated with standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends and comes in a black jacket suitable for residential, commercial, and professional installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction offers enhanced noise immunity and more consistent signal quality in environments with many electronic devices or nearby power cabling. The Cat6a rating supports higher bandwidth and frequencies than Cat5e and Cat6, enabling reliable 10 Gbps operation at shorter distances and improved margin for future network upgrades. The 3 meter length balances reach and cable management for desks, network racks, and equipment connections while the RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common networking hardware.

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, such as PCs, switches, routers, or patch panels. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the locking tab engages. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, tight kinks, and proximity to high-voltage power lines where possible to maintain shielding effectiveness and preserve signal integrity. For structured cabling, use appropriate cable management accessories and avoid compressive forces on the cable that could damage shielding or conductors.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for in-room and rack-to-equipment connections up to 3 meters. Maintain bend radius recommendations (typically four times the cable diameter), avoid running parallel to mains power cables, and inspect connector terminations periodically. If you require longer runs or permanent in-wall installation, verify local building codes and consider using dedicated shielded patch panels and grounding practices.
