Netwerkkabel Goobay 55422 grijs 3m Cat6a U/UTP

The Goobay 55422 Grey 3m Cat6a U/UTP networking cable is a 3‑meter Ethernet cable designed to meet Cat6a specifications. It uses an unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) design to support high-speed data transmission while keeping the physical profile flexible and easy to route. The cable is fitted with RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating to ensure reliable contact and corrosion resistance. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for residential and commercial installations.

Advantages

This Cat6a cable supports higher data rates and improved performance compared with earlier categories, while the U/UTP construction reduces crosstalk within the cable bundle. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors improve conductivity and durability for frequent plugging cycles. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management in typical desk, media cabinet or wall‑mounted router setups. A slim outer jacket facilitates routing through conduits and behind furniture.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, laptops and network switches or routers
• Connecting media players, smart TVs and game consoles to a home network
• Cisco, Netgear or other small office and home office LAN patching
• Short runs in structured cabling where Cat6a performance is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded overall, twisted pairs unshielded)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold plating
• Length: 3 m
• Color: Grey
• Typical applications: 10/100/1000 Base-T and 10GBase-T distances within specification

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into a switch, router or wall jack. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to guarantee a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and stress points; maintain a minimum bend radius consistent with standard Ethernet cabling practices. For permanent installations, secure the cable with clips or ties without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for extended distances and keep it separated from sources of electromagnetic interference. Use this 3 m lead for short to medium desktop or equipment connections; for longer backbone runs select appropriately rated Cat6a or higher length options.
