Netwerkkabel Helos 263812 0,25 m Cat6a S/FTP wit

The Helos 263812 0.25m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. Compliant with Cat6a specifications, it supports enhanced bandwidth and reduced crosstalk. The cable features S/FTP shielding to protect against external electromagnetic interference and individual pairing foil shielding to limit internal pair-to-pair crosstalk. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for reliable signal transfer and corrosion resistance. The white outer jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations in homes and offices.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding construction improves signal integrity in environments with multiple active cables and electronic equipment. Short 0.25 m length reduces cable clutter and signal attenuation in patching scenarios between nearby ports. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure stable connections and long-term durability. The cable's Cat6a compliance makes it suitable for applications requiring higher bandwidth and better alien crosstalk performance compared to lower category cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting nearby network ports in patch panels, switches, or wall outlets
• Short-distance Ethernet links in server racks and networking closets
• Home and office workstation connections where space is limited
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference requiring shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with foil on twisted pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: White

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the cable for short patching between switches, patch panels, or from a wall socket to a device. Avoid tight bends or kinks near the connector boots; maintain a gentle bend radius to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For installations within racks or conduits, route the cable to minimise mechanical stress and interference.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for links under 1 m where shielding is beneficial. Do not exceed the recommended bend radius and avoid repeated flexing near connectors. When deploying multiple shielded cables, ensure proper grounding of shielded equipment and chassis to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP design.
