Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 0,5 m geel

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP networking cable is a 0.5 m, shielded Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission, the cable supports environments where reduced crosstalk and improved signal integrity are required. The bright yellow jacket helps with quick identification in patch panels, server racks or desktop setups while the compact half-meter length limits excess slack and keeps installations tidy.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around individual pairs and an overall foil and braid construction provide enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. The Cat 6a specification supports higher frequencies suitable for multi-gigabit connections and offers headroom for bandwidth-intensive applications. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure plug-and-play installation and consistent contact quality. The short 0.5 m form factor reduces clutter in dense networking environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and patch panels in server rooms or racks
• Short runs between desktop devices and wall outlets
• High-speed connections for NAS, workstations, and networked storage
• Environments requiring reduced interference and clear cable identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the cable for short patching runs between network equipment such as switches, routers, patch panels and workstations. Route the cable along cable management trays or within racks to avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radii for shielded twisted pair cables. For best performance, avoid running near strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible.

Recommendations

For optimal results in multi-gigabit networks, use this Cat 6a S/FTP cable for short interconnects inside racks and patch panels. Verify connector seating and avoid kinking; when connecting in mixed-shielding installations, ensure proper grounding of shielded equipment to maintain shielding effectiveness.
