Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 2 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 2 m networking cable provides a 2-meter connection with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transfer in cable-based Ethernet networks, this black Cat 6a cable meets the needs of demanding environments where reduced interference and reliable link performance are required. It is suitable for desktop connections, patch panels, switches and other standard Ethernet devices that use RJ-45 ports.

Advantages

S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction offers improved protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded variants, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. The Cat 6a specification supports frequencies and throughput suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium distances. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure plug-and-play installation without the need for field termination. The 2 m length provides a balance between reach and cable management for typical desktop and rack setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs or workstations to switches or routers
• Patch connections between wall outlets and network equipment
• Short runs in server racks, patch panels and structured cabling
• Environments where reduced interference is needed, such as offices or home workspaces with multiple electronic devices

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6a
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braid with individual foil around each pair)
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, pre-terminated
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of the source device and the other plug to the destination device such as a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure both connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a stable connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of power lines and large sources of electromagnetic interference to preserve signal quality. For rack installations, use cable management accessories to secure and organize the run.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable and maintain bend radii recommended for twisted-pair cabling. In installations with high external interference, confirm shield termination at both ends to benefit from the S/FTP construction. Use the 2 m length for short connections close to equipment to minimize excess cable and simplify cable management.
