Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 7,5 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 7.5 m networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable engineered for reliable high-speed data transmission over local networks. This white Cat 6a cable uses S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, providing compatibility with standard network equipment such as switches, routers, and network interface cards. With a 7.5 m length, it suits medium-distance connections between devices while maintaining signal integrity thanks to its shielding.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded cables, improving performance in environments with multiple electronic devices or long cable runs. The Cat 6a specification supports higher bandwidth and better alien crosstalk performance than Cat 6, enabling stable Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over recommended distances. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors allow plug-and-play installation without special tools, and the white jacket provides a discreet appearance for visible installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers in home or office networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as 4K streaming, video conferencing and large file transfers
• Wiring in server rooms or wiring closets where reduced interference is required
• Visible cabling runs where a white cable is preferred for aesthetic reasons

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, pre-terminated
• Colour: White jacket
• Designed for: High-speed Ethernet including Gigabit and 10 Gigabit over supported distances

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the respective network ports on your devices, such as a computer, switch or router. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; maintain recommended bend radius to preserve performance. For permanent or wall-mounted installations, use appropriate cable clips or cable management accessories to secure the cable without compressing the shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the shielded cable parallel and in close proximity to power lines or fluorescent lighting for extended distances. When installing in areas with significant EMI, ensure both ends are properly grounded through connected equipment or building grounding systems. Use this Cat 6a S/FTP cable for links up to the recommended industry distances for 10 Gigabit Ethernet to maintain full throughput.
