Netwerkkabel Helos CAT6 S/FTP (PIMF) 0,5m magenta

The Helos CAT6 S/FTP (PIMF) networking cable in magenta is a 0.5 m patch cable designed for short-distance connections between devices with RJ-45 ports. Constructed to CAT6 specifications with S/FTP (overall foil with individually screened pairs, PIMF) shielding, the cable supports reliable high-speed data transfer for local network links and device-to-device connections. The magenta jacket provides clear visual identification within cable bundles and racks while maintaining the electrical and mechanical characteristics expected from a CAT6 cable.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP (PIMF) shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple adjacent cables or electronic equipment. With RJ-45 connectors on both ends and support for gigabit Ethernet and up to 10 Gbps for short distances, it offers straightforward plug-and-play compatibility with switches, routers, network cards, and patch panels. The 0.5 m length limits excess slack for tidy installations and the colored jacket simplifies identification during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, patch panels and network ports in equipment racks over short distances
• Workstation-to-switch links in dense cabling environments
• Home lab, gaming rigs and streaming setups requiring high-speed links and cable identification

Key specifications

• Cable type: CAT6 S/FTP (PIMF) patch cable
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Cabling technology support: 10/100/1000Base-T(X) with capability for higher short-range throughput
• Shielding: overall foil plus individually shielded pairs (S/FTP / PIMF)
• Colour: magenta

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the network port of the source device (for example a switch, router or network card) and the other connector into the destination device. Ensure connectors click into place for proper contact. For best performance, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or sources of heavy electromagnetic interference. Use the 0.5 m length to reduce cable slack in patch panels or tightly packed racks.

Recommendations

For reliable 10 Gbps performance, use this CAT6 S/FTP cable for short links where the cable length and environmental conditions meet category performance limits. Verify connector seating and avoid sharp bends; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for shielded copper patch cables. The magenta colour is useful for labeling and separating traffic types during cabling design and maintenance.
