Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0,25 m geel

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0.25 m Yellow is a short patch cable engineered for high-speed network connections. With a 0.25 m length and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable is intended to link devices in tight spaces such as patch panels, network switches, routers, and workstation ports. The S/FTP (shielded foil with braided shielding) construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting a stable signal for Cat6a applications. The yellow jacket provides clear visual identification within cable bundles or patch areas.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding improves resistance to external interference and helps maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. Short length minimizes excess cable slack and helps keep racks and desks tidy. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with networking equipment that supports Cat6a performance levels. The bright yellow color assists with cable management and quick identification without affecting electrical performance.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between devices in server rooms and wiring closets
• Connecting network interface ports to switches or routers in tight setups
• Structured cabling where color-coded identification is required
• High-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short distances within racks

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 0.25 m
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Plug an RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other end into the patch panel, switch, or router port. Ensure connectors are fully seated until a click is felt to secure the connection. Use the 0.25 m length where a short, direct link is required to avoid cable clutter; avoid tight bends near the connector that could stress the cable or reduce shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, reserve this cable for short-distance Cat6a links and avoid routing it close to high-power electrical cables. Maintain bend radius consistent with manufacturer guidance and avoid repeated disconnects near the boot to preserve connector integrity. Use color-coding in patch panels for simplified network management and faster troubleshooting.
