Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0,25 m zwart

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0.25 m Black is a short, high-performance network patch cable designed for compact installations and direct device connections. With a length of 0.25 m and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this Cat6a cable supports high-speed data transmission while shielded twisted pair (S/FTP) construction reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Its black jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for home and office environments where space is limited or tidy cabling is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to improve signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Cat6a specification ensures support for higher frequencies and faster sustained data rates compared with lower category cables. The short 0.25 m length minimizes latency and clutter when connecting nearby devices such as switches, patch panels, or networked peripherals. Standard RJ-45 plugs provide compatibility with common Ethernet ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting a switch to a patch panel in a rack with minimal slack
• Direct connection between nearby network devices (router, NAS, PC)
• Short links in server cabinets or desktop setups
• Environments where reduced interference from nearby cables is desirable

Key specifications

• Length: 0.25 m
• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port until the latch clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the cable to link devices positioned close together to reduce excess cable runs; avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors to preserve shielding integrity. For best performance, connect directly between equipment rated for Cat6a or higher and avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines to limit potential interference.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use this 0.25 m Cat6a S/FTP cable for short, reliable links within racks, between adjacent devices, or on desktop installations. Check connector seating and avoid tight bends; when deploying multiple cables, maintain orderly routing to preserve shielding performance.
