Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Patch SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 3m grijs

The Sharkoon Patch SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 3m Grey is a shielded network cable designed for wired Ethernet connections in home and office environments. It uses SFTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction and standard RJ-45 connectors to provide reliable connectivity with support for high data rates up to 10 Gbps over a 3 meter length. The grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for visible runs or structured cabling.

Advantages

SFTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or nearby electronic equipment. The Cat.7a specification ensures compatibility with high-speed networks and provides headroom for demanding applications. Standard RJ-45 connectors make the cable plug-and-play compatible with most network devices, switches, routers, and patch panels. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management, limiting excess slack while allowing flexible placement of devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops, and workstations to switches and routers
• Patch panel to switch connections in small server rooms or wiring closets
• High-definition video streaming and large file transfers within a local network
• Environments where electromagnetic interference is a concern (near power supplies, monitors, or dense cabling)

Key specifications

• Cable type: SFTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair)
• Connector: RJ-45 on both ends
• Category: Cat.7a
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10 Gbps
• Length: 3 meters
• Color: Grey
• Conductor material: copper (solid or stranded depending on variant)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (PC, router, switch) and the other end into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks, or tight staples that could damage the jacket or internal conductors. For rack-mounted equipment, use cable management panels or Velcro ties to keep runs organized and to reduce strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines for extended distances. Use the 3 m length for short to medium runs within rooms or between adjacent rack units. Inspect connectors before installation for debris and ensure devices support the intended network speed; using Cat.7a SFTP cable can improve stability in electrically noisy environments.
