Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 1.5 m groen

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 1.5 m Green networking cable provides a compact, shielded connection for high-speed Ethernet links. Designed to support Cat6a performance, this 1.5 m cable uses S/FTP shielding and standard RJ-45 connectors to deliver reliable data transmission in home and office networks. The green jacket helps identify connections and adds a visible accent to structured cabling setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity at higher data rates. The Cat6a specification enables support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter distances, while the standard RJ-45 plug compatibility ensures easy connection to switches, routers, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. Its 1.5 m length provides a tidy, low-latency link between nearby equipment without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or laptop to a router or network switch
• Short runs between network equipment in a home office or server rack
• Workstations requiring reduced interference for stable data transfer
• Patch connections in structured cabling where a colored cable aids identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 1.5 m
• Colour: Green

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the Ethernet ports of your devices until they click into place. Use the cable for direct connections between computers, routers, switches or networked peripherals. For best performance, avoid tight bends near the connectors and do not route the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or strong electromagnetic sources. If used in a patch panel or rack, ensure the cable is routed without excessive strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal signal integrity, keep cable runs within recommended distances for Cat6a performance and avoid kinking or sharp bends. When deploying multiple cables in close proximity, maintain consistent routing and use color-coded cables for easier identification. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or damage and replace the cable if physical wear compromises the shielding or conductor integrity.
