Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Sharkoon Patch-netwerkkabel SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 5 meter rood

The Sharkoon patch network cable SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 5 meters red is a shielded, high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding network environments. Compliant with Category 7a specifications, this 5 m cable uses SFTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors to deliver stable, high-speed data transmission with reduced electromagnetic interference. Its bright red jacket provides easy visual identification in crowded cable runs and home or office setups.

Advantages

The SFTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individual pair shielding to minimize crosstalk and external interference, supporting reliable signal integrity over longer distances. Cat.7a classification ensures support for high frequency ranges and improved data throughput compared with lower-category cables. The standard RJ-45 connectors offer wide compatibility with routers, switches, network cards, and other Ethernet devices. The 5-meter length balances reach and manageability for typical desktop and rack installations.

Suitable for

• Wired gaming setups requiring low latency and stable connections
• HD/4K streaming and large file transfers in home networks
• Office and small data center cabling where interference rejection is important
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices, and desktop PCs

Key specifications

• Cable type: SFTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Category: Cat.7a
• Length: 5 meters
• Outer jacket color: red
• Application: Ethernet LAN for high-speed data transfer and reduced interference

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network source (router, switch, or modem) and the other plug to the target device (PC, NAS, game console). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the clip clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise such as large transformers or unshielded power cables. For rack installations, use cable management clips or ties to maintain an organized run and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use the Sharkoon Cat.7a SFTP cable for installations where interference mitigation and consistent high throughput are required. Avoid running the cable parallel to mains power cables for extended distances; cross them at right angles if necessary. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
