Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-47055 Cat8.1 U/FTP (STP) RJ-45 naar RJ-45 5 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks 08-47055 Cat8.1 U/FTP (STP) RJ-45 to RJ-45 5 m Black networking cable is a shielded patch cable designed for high-frequency Ethernet connections. With Category 8.1 specification and U/FTP shielding, this cable is intended to deliver reliable, high-speed data transmission while reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. It features RJ-45 connectors on both ends and a 5 meter length suitable for short to medium rack and workstation interconnections.

Advantages

Shielded U/FTP (overall drain with individually foil-shielded pairs) construction provides improved immunity to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference compared with unshielded cables. Compliance with Cat8.1 performance characteristics enables support for high data rates and reduced signal degradation over short distances typically required in data centers and equipment rooms. The RJ-45 terminations maintain compatibility with standard Ethernet ports, simplifying deployment without special adapters. The 5 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for typical server-to-switch and patch panel connections.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in server racks and data cabinets
• Interconnecting switches, routers and network appliances in equipment rooms
• High-speed workstation or desktop Ethernet links
• Temporary or permanent cabling in small data centers and telecom closets

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: U/FTP (individually foil-shielded pairs with overall drain)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 5 m
• Color: Black
• Cable type: Shielded twisted pair patch cable

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the Ethernet port of your switch, router or network interface and the other connector to the corresponding device or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the connection. When routing the cable, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; follow standard bend radius recommendations for shielded twisted-pair cables and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise where possible. For installations requiring grounding, connect the shield to an appropriate chassis or grounding point according to your network infrastructure practices.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 U/FTP cable for short-distance, high-bandwidth links inside racks and cabinets where shielded performance and RJ-45 compatibility are required. For optimal performance, pair with shielded network equipment and maintain proper grounding and bend radius.
