Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-8605503 S/CONN Cat. 8.2 50,0 m groen

The ShiverPeaks 08-8605503 S/CONN Cat. 8.2 network cable is a 50.0 meter, green S/FTP cable engineered for high-speed wired connectivity in demanding environments. Built to the Cat. 8.2 standard and GHMT certified, this cable supports modern network infrastructures that require elevated bandwidth and reduced interference. Its S/FTP construction combines a shield around each pair with an overall foil shield to minimise crosstalk and external electromagnetic influence, delivering stable performance for data centres, professional workspaces and advanced home networks.

Advantages

The shielded S/FTP design provides improved protection against near-end crosstalk and external EMI, helping maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Support for Cat. 8.2 specification enables greater bandwidth and data rates compared with lower category cables. The 50.0 m length covers extended runs without intermediate patching, while the green sheath offers clear visual identification in multi-cable installations. GHMT certification indicates the cable has been tested to recognised industry standards, contributing to consistent and predictable performance.

Suitable for

• High-density server racks and data centre cabling
• 10G/25G/40G Ethernet links and other high-bandwidth applications
• Professional office networks with long horizontal or backbone runs
• Advanced residential networks requiring shielded, high-performance cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair per pair with overall shield)
• Category: Cat. 8.2
• Length: 50.0 m
• Colour: Green
• Connector style: S/CONN compatible installation cable
• Application: High-frequency data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference

How to use

Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Terminate with appropriate Cat. 8.2 compatible connectors or patch panels following manufacturer guidelines for shielded cables, ensuring the shield is properly grounded at installation points. For permanent links, measure and verify continuity and performance with suitable network cable testers calibrated for Cat. 8.2 frequency ranges. When making long runs, leave service loops where required and secure the cable with appropriate clips or Velcro to prevent strain.

Recommendations

For best results, use dedicated shielded connectors and grounding practices to preserve the S/FTP shielding effectiveness. Verify link performance after installation with a tester that supports the cable’s category to confirm bandwidth and signal integrity.
